​ The Todd County School district is proud to be partnering with Rosebud Education Task Force in their efforts. The educational vision of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe is all Sicangu students live healthy lives of self-determination that strengthen their communities and our Nation. In response to Covid-19, Rosebud Sioux Tribe Education Department is convening an educational task force including local education organizations. The purpose of this task force is two-fold: 1) To provide recommendations to President Bordeaux regarding the RST’s guidance for education plans for the 2020-21 school year. 2) To foster coordination and collaboration, rooted in the Tribe’s vision, among local schools as they plan and implement response plans to Covid-19. This group has met twice in June and aims to provide recommendations by July 11. One key input for this plan is student and family feedback. We ask students and families within the boundaries of the Sicangu Oyate, including families in White River School District, to complete one survey per parent, one survey per child in each household. In addition, Parents who are teachers, please feel free to complete both parent and teacher surveys. Todd County School District Class of 2020 Commencement Saturday, June 27, 2020, 10 a.m. Falcon Football Field Mission, South Dakota THIS YEAR’S CEREMONY WILL NOT BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC DUE TO COVID-19. Each graduating Senior will receive 2 (two) tickets for 2 (two) people. Parking available in parking lots, none inside football complex. No parking on road. Guests use west walk-in gate, no one admitted without a ticket. Limited seating, guests use social distancing along fence bordering track.. Everyone attending, including graduates, must wear a mask. Event can be viewed on-line at tcsdk12.org - live feed. CEREMONY:- Graduates enter complex and walk on track by grandstand to assigned area. Brief welcoming and introductions Acknowledge Valedictorian and Salutatorian Awarding of diplomas Each Student photographed with diploma by Kernit Grimshaw to be posted for families on TCHS Facebook Page. Graduates take victory lap and exit complex while Class Song is played Graduates line up in Bus Circle west of TCHS for car procession. Families and friends can drive past the graduates to congratulate them.

To: TCMS Eight Grade Students & Families… ​Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the normal Todd County Middle School Eighth Grade Celebration cannot be held this year. ​We respectfully encourage you to plan a smaller gathering for your Eighth Grader to celebrate his/her accomplishment. Feathers/plumes are available if you need them. Just contact TCMS Principal Dana Haukaas at 856-3504 or email Dana.Haukaas@k12.sd.us.

Lockdown Lifted.. ​Lockdown of the Rosebud Reservation is over as of 6 a.m., Thursday. May 21. Todd County School District Staff may resume the hours they were working before the lockdown.

TCSD to continue lockdown… The Todd County School District will honor the extended lockdown by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe through Thursday, May 21 at 6 a.m., with District buildings being closed. Todd County School’s Food Distribution will continue on these days, and staff preparing the breakfasts and lunches will be allowed to travel. Reminder: There will be no TCSD meals delivered on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. The last day meals will be delivered this school year will be Friday, May 29.

TCSD will continue to honor the extended RST lock down through Thursday, May 21 at 6:00AM with building being closed. Todd County Food Distribution Service will continue on these days and staff will be allowed to travel.
